Welcome to my site.
I would like to tell you about my
"Kennel History"
An impressive word that does not mean a great deal
but did begin with what feels like a 'disaster'

I am absolutely not a writer and here I am supposed to write down in a few simple words
how it all started - that's when it began to feel like a 'disaster'!
I simply don't know where to start.
How in heavens name did it all start?
As I thought about this and struggled to find the words I realized it did not start
……it was simply always there.

I was born and raised around dogs. My dad bred and showed with great pride his German Sheppard.
As a very small child I went with my dad to the 'shows' and would sneak off with him to look at the pups and dogs of other breeders. I say 'sneak' as my mom made it very clear she did not want one more dog around the house ! (We had a lot)
Now that I am older, and my mom is sadly no longer with us, I am more then ever convinced that she always knew what we were up to behind her back.

I could not imagine a life without dogs.
"Nambo", alias "Boke Choco" ("chocolate cheeks")
(in Belgium we enjoy a chocolate spread on our sandwiches) needless to say this was Nambo's favorite treat.

The next chapter in my
dog career
.....................
I opened a grooming salon for dogs.

I made several fierce attempts at grooming competitions and continued to attend grooming courses.
During one of these courses I started to learn about the Havanese.
One day at the salon I was asked to groom a gold colored Havenese female - her name was "Seleentje".
It was love at first sight.

And it happened to me just like it happened to everyone else that owns a Havanese.

You want one.
You want another one
You become possessed.
You are addicted.
You can never live without one.
They have you eating out of their paws.
There is no way back.
You have no way to stop this.
You can talk about nothing else.
You want a website.
You find yourself writing about your 'Kennel History".

Think very carefully before you make the decision to get a Havanese.
You just don't casually own a Havanese…..A Havanese owns your heart
